The Serial LCD 4 PCB Features
Accepts a 24 character by 2 line display module with backlight.
Received serial ASCII characters are displayed on the LCD screen.
Serial input and output are TTL level signals connectable to RS-232.
Four push button keyboard. Switches send an ASCII serial code when
pushed.
Accepts power input of 6 volts to 12 volts DC. (Works with 9 volt battery).
Current is about 5ma without a backlight. Separate switches for power
and backlight power.
Other displays are usable with some changes to basic assembly.
A single input/output pin accessed serially.
Piezo beeper for bell sound. Beeper clicks when a button is pushed.
Single PC board that can be parted on break lines for separate display
and keyboard assemblies.
Uses PIC16F84 microcontroller.
